A recommendation
Last night I saw a fantastic cabaret show called "Girl in the mirror" and I highly recommend it. The show features Cassie Wooley (soon-to-be appearing in our production of FIORELLO!) and Kelli Morgan. Both are outstanding, and this gives you a great opportunity to see what a dynamic talent Cassie is before she blows the roof off of TimeLine this May. And you guys are very lucky to have Cassie, since she turned Equity after she signed to do "Fiorello!" (I do realize that she can still do your show). I saw "Girl in the Mirror" and she is, along with Rebecca Finnegan (who's also in "Fiorello!"), the most dynamic and versatile new musical theater actress we've had in a while in this town. All we can ask is hope that she doesn't go to New York, like so many musical theater people.
But why wouldn't she go to NY? There is VERY little great musical theatre in this city. Unless someone wants to change that sometime soon (c'mon White Horse? Porchlight? One?), there's not enough work for real musical theatre actors in this town.
